We begin our journey with a solemn and emotional visit to Assin Manso Slave River, the
Slave River is a sacred site where enslaved Africans had their last bath before the long walk to the coast.

We continue to the Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the haunting dungeons and pass through the Door of No Return, an experience that speaks to both the pain and power of African history. Your expert guide will share stories that are not in the textbooks.

In the afternoon, lighten the mood with creativity at Global Mamas, where you’ll take part in a vibrant Batik fabric-making workshop. Choose your colours, design your fabric, and keep it as a meaningful souvenir of cultural continuity.

Day 2

Nature, Strength, and the Stories that Built Us

Start the day with a thrilling adventure at Kakum National Park. Trek through lush rainforest and dare to walk the famous canopy walkway, suspended high above the forest floor. The air is rich with the scent of wild flora and the sounds of tropical birds.

After lunch, we move to the Elmina Castle, the oldest European building in sub-Saharan
Africa. Discover a different chapter of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and learn how resistance and community endured in the darkest times.

In the evening, relax at one of the serene beaches along the Cape Coast. Watch the sunset, enjoy fresh seafood, or simply reflect under the stars.

Local Living – Food, Markets & Coastal Life

Return to Accra.

This morning, take a guided walking tour through historic Elmina town, bustling with energy. Explore the vibrant fish market, watch fishermen mend their nets, and observe how generations thrive in this coastal community.

Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Ghanaian cooking class! Learn how to prepare local favourites like Gobe (beans and plantain) or the iconic Jollof rice with guidance from local chefs. Share laughs, stories, and Flavors in a kitchen that feels like home.

After lunch, we begin our journey back to Accra, taking with us not only souvenirs, but the spirit of our ancestors, the strength of the land, and the hospitality of the people.
